Six Wives: The Queens of Henry VIII
by David Starkey
I really love this book. If you love the drama of Henry and his many wives like I do, you cannot go past this one.
Whilst this book is well researched and is probably the most accurate, I can’t help but feel that this book is rushed and pushed together. I do not find the flow with this, every chapter kind of relates to a different wife and then they refer back to the previous wife, I find this hard to follow especially as the first 3 of Henry’s wives overlap and some significantley (Anne Boleyn & Katherine of Aragon).
Overall the facts in this story are great, it’s not biased or one sided, it portrays everyone equally and give facts, not personal preference or the preference of someone at the times recordings.
Only a quick review on this book because over all I love it! If you want to learn more about Henry and his many queens you must read this one!
